June 25, McArthur: The Hotel McArthur was also featuring a hog roast to attract
GOBA riders. The $12 all-you-can-eat meal reminded
all of us of a good family reunion meal. Pork, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sauerkraut, green beans,
pasta salad, cobblers, pineapple upside-down cake, and more! Everything was home-made from scratch, and the hog was really
roasted out back. They were serious about the all-you-can-eat; they gave us wrist bands and said we were
welcome back whenever we liked until the food was gone. Here we are at a table set up in the back bar room about to begin our 3:30 pm supper.
We are next to the pool table and next to it is a big screen TV with several riders watching World Cup soccer.
