Thomas J. Allen

Thomas J. Allen was a Private in C Company of the 133rd Ohio Voluntary Infantry.  He was mustered in on May 2, 1864 and mustered out on August 20, 1864.  He was twenty-three years old at the time of his enlistment.  The 133rd did not see major combat but did lose one man in a skirmish and 29 others to disease.  

Allen attended Otterbein University in the Preparatory program in 1863-1864 before he was sent to Camp Chase to be mustered into the 133rd Regiment.
