GOBA 2013! Some rain Sunday, gorgeous weather the rest of the week. The slideshow should play automatically, move mouse over image to get controls. We stayed all six nights at Canal Lake Lodge, between Sidney and Piqua. The lodge was nearly a mile from the road back this gravel drive. It was formerly a rod and gun club and Monarch Corp. retreat. Includes skeet shooting range. Canal Lake, a canal boat turnaround for the Sidney spur of the Miami and Erie canal. The lodge was on a hill overlooking the lake. It was all ours for the week! View of the lodge from slope toward lake. It is often rented for outdoor weddings. These benches are for wedding guests. Behind the lodge down this steep slope is the remains of the canal. Pete and Nancy got the enclosed back porch. Kay got the log cabin section. No bedrooms, just open rooms with beds added.
