June 25, McArthur: After 52 miles we reached our destination for the night, the
historic Hotel McArthur. Just across the street from the Vinton County Courthouse at the intersection
of Ohio 93 and US 50, this is the oldest
building in town. It dates to 1839 if you believe the owner and the number over the bar-room door.
The 2000 census pegged the McArthur population at 1888.
GOBA had 2500 riders this year plus various family members along for support.
This means for the night of June 25, its population more than doubled!
