Alice in Action Chapter 2 Assignment : 20 points
Readings listed by textbook section number. Read while Alice is running.
- Section 2.1...Read and Do: Topic is writing a world method, and how to break down a complex movie into scenes and shots. Do the example as you read.
- Section 2.2...Read and Do the dragon example: Topic is writing an object method. Do the dragon example as you read. Read the Toy Soldier example, and do it if you wish.
- Section 2.3...Read and Do the dragon example: Topics are using the clipboard, and saving an object. Experiment with it, using the dragon programs.
- Section 2.4...Read and Do: Topic is how to change the camera orientation for each shot of a multi-shot scene. Do the example as you read.
- Section 2.5...Read: Topic is three dimensional positioning and movements (up-down, left-right, forward-backward) around the three axes.
Programming Projects to do, listed by Programming Project number.
- Project 2.4: Start with your hopping project from chapter 1 and modify it, then demo for me.
- Project 2.5: Build this new world and demo for me.
- Project 2.10: This will be an original story that you design. When finished, demo for me and save in your repository (details to follow).
