Description:

This performing ensemble of music written for or arranged for percussion instruments explores music from a wide variety of styles within the genre.  Participation is determined through audition.

Rehearsal/Performance Times:

Rehearsals:  Mondays and Fridays at 3:00
Performance dates will be announced at the beginning of each term.

Students are expected to prepare their assigned parts and participate in a professional manner in all rehearsals and performances.  A rehearsal order will be posted by the director of the ensemble on the percussion studio bulletin board preceding each rehearsal; musicians are expected to be ready for a downbeat at five minutes after the hour.

In addition to the above expectations the following infractions shall result in a specific loss of grade.

For Rehearsals:

Two unexcused absences shall result in the loss of one letter grade.
Four unexcused tardies shall result in the loss of one letter grade.
Two unexcused tardies plus one unexcused absence shall result inthe loss of one letter grade.

For Performances:

One unexcused absence shall result in a failing grade for the term.
One unexcused tardy may result in the loss of two letter grades.
