Email and Submitting Lab Assignments

In order to send email, you will need to have Internet Explorer running. Browse to http://webmail.otterbein.edu. After logging in, you will see a Compose New Email button at the left end of the toolbar (). Click it. In textbox labeled To: of the resulting window (shown here) you will need to type the email address of the person you wish to send a message to.

To submit your labs, first create a new email message in Internet Explorer as described above, with your intructor's email address in the To: box (e.g., David J. Stucki). In the Subject: box type the name of the lab assignment (e.g., Web Research).

Now you will need to attach the files you have created in preparing your lab assignment. Click on the Attachments button below the toolbar. Then click the Browse... button. A standard open file dialog box will appear that will allow you to browse for the file you wish to attach. Once you have selected the file and clicked the Open button you will be returned to the Attachments dialog. You must at this point click on the Attach button! If you do not, the file will not be attached to the email message. Perform this step once for each file. The click the Close button.

Now you are ready to send the email message. Click on the button on the toolbar.
