It also talks about how the World Bank has helped develop these countries economically. The site is helpful if you are looking for financial data or just information on one specific country. This site tells you about all of the trading and how the countries have worked with one another, and on what projects. This is a great site for research information or just seeing what countries are developing, or are developed, and learn a little more about them.

This site describes the services and products offered by the different companies. It contains information such as: financial data, transaction systems, and historical databases. The bulk of the service is setup to serve banks and brokers. The data supplied enables customers to compare information from a variety of sources. Using this site I could see the financial history of a product to use in a presentation for a class.

If you are searching for highlights from a magazine's current issues or about current events, this is the site for you to access. There are also links to the associated press. The site contains an archive to locate articles published from 1988 to the present and there are select articles from earlier issues. If you don't want to read the whole article then you also have access to summaries of the current issue articles. This site could be used for many projects or just researching a topic of interest.

Stat USA has statistics on international trade, including deficits and surpluses. Through this site you can access statistics about trade, markets, companies, exports, and imports. There are many surveys that have been conducted that are useful as well. Some of the things included on this site are: budget of US government, proposed government procurement actions and sales of government property. This could add many details to a research project or just be for the fun of knowledge.

The news and comment section of the site tells the main international business and news stories of the day. It includes news bulletins that are updated for the start and the end of the business-day. The stock market information is updated every 30 minutes during trading hours. Themes and topics organizes the information under subjects and news references. The business world loves to follow the Financial Times due to its current updates. On the connect and respond section, users can talk to Financial Times and to each other. The feature soon to come will be talking with experts in your field via FT. I can gain much information as well as experience through this diverse site.

The articles are categorized by country, finance, economies, leaders, and summaries. This can be used as an alternative to getting the actual magazine.

On the very first page it gives you the NASDAQ, dijia, and the bond numbers for that day. The main story on this site was the minimum wage rising to $4.75. This site would also be useful in finding "news" about a company that is being researched.

This site is a replica of the actual magazine with all of the same information.. It has all of the same cover stories and articles. This site can also serve as an asset to my research of Worthington Industries and the companies they have competed with. The cover story of this weeks magazine is will AT & T ever hear the end of the "bad news" like its modest growth and disappointed investors. Business Week is a great magazine if you are after business news.

This site is just like the New York Times except the first page gives you brief introductions to the main stories in the "fax" and gives you a choice on which one to click on. One of the top stories was "Israelis Offer Agenda And Issue Demands". The site also gives you the option to click on the New York Times Company itself for further links and an e-mail address to actually talk to someone there. This could really come in handy especially since they have access to many information sources and can probably tell you everything you need to know.

This site contains products, projects, news about partners, the press, publications, and IFC department listings and indices. It covers an extremely broad span of topics and information. This site also has an area that allows the addresses, phone, and fax numbers of members to be of public knowledge so they can be easily accessible.

This site is of value to students interested in international business in that it gives up to date and specific information about the conditions in Asian countries. This site is excellent in locating and researching current issues in an array of foreign countries. Headlines followed by complete stories are available through this site. You are also able to offer suggestions to the network for possible improvements or interviews you would be interested in seeing. This site also gives information on upcoming events, meetings, and broadcasts to be televised.

This site is similar to the CNN site. Both are sources of current information on international events. This site contains leading stories across the world on issues involving commerce, trade, technology, opinions of leaders, life and economics, and local news. This site also includes more issues that deal with hobbies and past times such as sporting events and opinion polls or surveys. A great deal of emphasis is placed on international affairs and how they affect relations and business in the United States.

There is also a section on the official classification of information and employees. They make it easy to be able to contact the leaders in the organization by making public their fax numbers and addresses.

Click on this section and it shows you a map of the world. The user can then click on any section of the map to find out where British Petroleum stations are located.

There are many more legal materials discussed in this web site. I just listed a few. This web site was interesting because it deals with every country and the legal matters that need to be followed to avoid penalty.

The World Bank's page consist of many interesting opportunities. One can look at the 1996 Annual Meetings or the 1996 World Bank Report. There is information on IBRD, IDA, IFC, and MIGA. News is updated daily and countries are broken down into regions to show geographical viewpoints. There is even a search within the page in case an onlooker has something special that they are looking for.

One of the more interesting sites to go see from this page is the page on "Managing the Changeover to the Single Currency." This is broken down into an outline with the various supporting reason on how the currency will be phased in over time. Another interesting site is the "Manifesto (English)." This gives problems that are laid out for the European Union and reasons on why the European Union will overcome those problems and go on to become the world leader because of its stability.

This interesting page The Russian Magazine gives information on Russian business and commerce. The most recent issue has an interesting article on the telecommunications market in Russia. The article goes on to say that since being privatized there has been a mad rush to be the first into many new markets, where many people cannot afford to own phones. The problem is that there are not lines running across the country, so cellular phones have become popular because they can reach anywhere. Other current stories include aircraft construction and financial associations in the metals industry. This site goes into depth on how the new Russian nation is trying to compete and trade with many of the world powers such as Germany and the United States.
