Select one of the exercises from either Chapter 2 or Chapter 3 of Jubien's Contemporary Metaphysics and respond to it.  You will need to be careful, since not all of those exercises are appropriate for a 500-750 word paper.  If you want to expand or narrow the exercise in some way, feel free, but make sure that you are left with an interesting exercise.  The best papers will tackle a difficult question, and do so in a philosophically sophisticated way.

Please set out, at the very beginning of your paper, precisely what the exercise question is that you are responding to.

The papers should be 500-750 words, and are due on Monday 9 April.
